** la possibilité de mettre sur GoogleEarth les photos géolocalisées et voir vos photos géolocalisées (Maps est trop compliqué et ne fonctionne pas avec Microsoft Vista);

** la lisibilité des commentaires;

** la netteté du site (Google+, facebook ... sont trop brouillons).

Bernard Chinappi

Hello Comrades from Panoramio

I joined the Panoramio program in November 2009 (84 months ago).

I posted more than 600 highly selected photos and I gained more than 9 millions of views.

For me, the Panoramio community was a big family and the place where there were no divisions based on nationality, race, sex, age or religion, but only the love of our planet, of its civilizations and of its beauty.

It was a privilege and an honor to meet you, to see several aspects of the Earth and its inhabitants, through your photos.

And it was a great time, with beautiful emotions with you. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for each moment I was living with you..

The years passed, and now Panoramio is closing.

We lost Panoramio, but I gained a lot of friends.

For now I will be with Google+, so you can be in touch with me.

I have looked at different sites for photos but I must say that none of those, that I saw, really pleases me and I very much regret the Panoramio at the time it worked well.

Indeed, for me, the important was :

** the ability to put on GoogleEarth the geotagged photos and see yours photos geotagged (Maps is too complicated and does not work with Microsoft Vista);

** the legibility of comments;

** sharpness of the site (Google+, facebook ... are too drafts).

Accordingly, I will probably slow sharply my publications but I will survive.

My sincere greetings to you and I wish you all the best in the best of worlds.

Bernard Chinappi

I Love bridges too Derek. This ancient clapper bridge is wonderful Lots of Panoramions have migrated to ipernity All the best Tone

Thanks Derek. Lots of Panoramio photographers have migrated here I hope to see you in the future. Regards Tone.

Hi Derek. Thanks. It's a fascinating place. I spent a lot of time there as a child, when my mum owned it and look on to it from across the bay from my windows. It's now a UNESCO world heritage site. All the best Tone.

Thanks for the nice comments Tone. It is like the end of a cruise with everyone going their separate ways. I will be concentrating on Flickr. Regards Derek
