Recently I went to Gaumukh and I found that the way is too long and tedious, with no facilities at all, except Tea at CHIDIWASA, and food and stay at BHOJWASA, which are 11 and 16 kms away from GANGOTRI-BASE. I would rather suggest that age group above than 45-50 should not try to take risk, as the way is very bad with literally no emergency facilities also.
