I passed through here in 1978 on my way from Suffield training area at Ralston Camp to Great Falls on 4 days R&R. At the time I was serving with 1st Bn the Duke of Wellingtons Regiment of the British Army. ( Had a good time in Great Falls)

This is my home I grew up in from the 3rd grade to high school.(+) It was neat to have friends visit. They got a kick out of being able to stradle the US/Canadian line markers. We had many bad lightning storms in that area, but it was not until the house was sold, that the next people had it hit by lightning. It was vacated and sold to a contractor who redone the inside part that burned. It was then sold to a gentleman from Tennessee, whom died in a motorcycle accident in 2007. Previous to us living there, it had been vacant and was able to be two apartments. It was the only house that my parents could find to live in w/7 boys at the time. We have great memories of the homestead. The farmers in the area sure loved the idea of all us boys...we worked on many of thier farms through out the years: 1968 to the early 90's:
