Imagine the thousands of worn-out workers who enjoyed a pint throughout the decades that this Pub flourished, when Steel Street was a hive of activity and productivity. I dont think this is for vibration. Its to STOP the public gaining access to the rail lines at crossings, similar to cattle grids on roads and other crossings... This area is my old rail spotting stomping ground from 1958!
