In the summer of 1966 I rode my bicycle to the Armistice sight every day as it was the only spot where you could always find Americans to talk to !

My grandfather was killed in the great war at Arras in 1917, His remains were found just a few years ago on the outskirts of Arras, I understand his name is now added to those at the memorial in Arras
