Hi, curious if you guys did a write up for your Nitinat Triangle trip. I did it back in 2004 and your the only others I've known to do the circuit since then. Love to read your story if it's up somewhere?

Thanks!

We hiked there in '94, it was a steamy hot slog, no trail. Like you say everything was huge. Some areas had no virtually no undergrowth. As I remember the lake shore on Squalicum was fairly steep with no beach, much like most of the southern shore of Hobiton. The last two trips to Hobiton we camped at Hitchy creek, hiked up the creek to the falls, pretty impresive.

I worked building tent pads at Eric Lake & logged in many BC locations over a 33 year period and know tree species. The large trees in your pictures at the tentpad campsite are Sitka Spruce which I have seen grow to diameters as large as 17 feet.the trees at Eric Lake are obviuosly large so imagine trees that are more than twice their diameter.

Heyy Im kinda cofused becuase i went to that lake with a friend and saw a sign that said no camping or vehicles allowed and said somthing watershed area in the area wondering if u can camp ther for shure cuase in my backroad map book says i can? thx.

kflow! I'm planning on heading up to Leechtown, I was wondering if you could give me some advice on the best/most accesible route to get there? I dunno' if you've heard of a legend up there about a cave with treasure in there, but it's really interesting! check it out: http://www.detecting.org.uk/html/Ed_Mullards_Lost_Tunnel_of_Leechtown_Metal_Detectors_Treasure_Hunting.html
