This small Temple is known as the "Lao Ya Keng" in Teow Chew. It has 2 carved stone Kirins at each side of the door which was blocked from view by the red gates. The temple interior has a small tortoise pond/bath where some tortoises were kept.
Some 20 years ago, entering the temple doesn't require taking off one's shoes. However, recently it has been a requirement. Opposite this temple, there's a small hawker centre where one can get cheap and tasty food.
Those not going there will try to avoid the main road parallel to the 'Night Market'. I am one of them. Road users will waste, sometime up to 10 minutes to clear that short road. Limited parking is the main reason that jam the road. Night Market without enough parking space is a NO NO. The authority should limit the number of traders there. Many years ago or when it started, it is only a few hundred meters or less. Correct me if I'm wrong.
