This was the channel that was used by the German troops when they draw back from the Kaukasus via the : KUBAN BRUECKENKOPF" in 1943 or 1942.
The Austrian troops were attacked by the russian infantry,who were made drunk and were very "high"and cried :hurree";many were killed.
Many ships were sunk by smal russian planes;they calles them naemachines,because of the high sounds when they attacked
