This is a farm from days of old, now it is simply a home, before it would have been a farm with cattle and haying equipment and hens for eggs.

The shakers seemed to have thought little of using large stones as entry ways. This is the entrance into an old garden space. The stone wall would have kept the sheep out of the garden.
This was a community unto it's self back in the late 1700's. there was a church, a school, and what more do you need, there was even a tavern.
