Hello , dear friend. Beautiful picture oa a historic place. I want to live here. But I,m in Finland now, the summer is gone, even rho very warm and sunny summer, it was so short and went by way too fast. I live by a lake in a rural area of Hameenkyro, near thee city of Tampere. I have nice cottage abot 1000 sq ft and with a fire place and a nice balcony opening to the lake. I have one naaighbor, about 300 yards away and I rarely see them. Last fall I had a moose in my front yard and the lake is full of songswans and other water loving birds. I think we,ll haave aa nice winter with snow and cold weather..It willl be nice with fireplace nad candles in the darker winter months. I,m sending you all the best wishes and lots of sunshine..ICM

Did you buy some berries?

Christian I am very pleased you enjoy this shot. Many thanks for your visit, kind comment and L. Best wishes, Dave.

Soooo atmospheric - well spotted JB.

In my local newspaper yesterday there was a report that these buildings are to be pulled down. What a waste! I've put a scanned pic on here of the newspaper picture.

Yip, that was our house and many, many stories to tell of the place My happiest childhood memories. :)

Hi JB. I am surprised they have survived given the scrap value.

I see you are right. There were three Amish kids there but only two made the picture. They each had hammers and were learning a skill.
