Hi Exonian: Our family went to Clearwater Lake quite often in the 30s. There was lots of activities such as fishing, tennis, dancing, rodeos etc. We rented boats for something like 15 cents an hour and usually caught lots of pickerell about 5 inches long..they were very tasty.
