This chain operated ferry crossing is an alternate link to Kota kinabalu from Kuala Penyu. The ferry takes about 15 minutes to cross and carry an average of 8 vehicles per trip.
Visits to Pulau Tiga (Survivor island)takes place from Kuala Penyu town. Palu Palu village is seen across the river from the town.
