Nugaq Lake is the background body of water. It's a Inuit word meaning Baby Caribou. You need to see it in Google Earth to appreciate why it got this name. The Inukshuk is on a rock that is over 14 feet high and can be seen for miles around.

As the summer wares on and the Caribou's antlers start growing they seem to be a little less timid. They like waving them about when they feel threatened. There way of saying " Just encase you missed them, See my Antlers ?"

According to Google Earth it's 657 meters high (2 155' feet)

Imagine the history this rock could tell. I've been all over the planet and I have yet to see such a rock anywhere else. There is several like this on the point, all really large, not pocket sized several tons each.

Found a picture on the web of what can be found inside this stuff. This is a 59 carat diamond that was found at this mine. It's valued at Approx $400,000 US.. Gee maybe I'll buy two...
