The Lighthouse Restaurant was significantly damaged by Hurricane Ivan. It offered fine dining on a deck built out over the water. That is gone but the fine dining remains. I remember going up in the lighthouse in 1980 before it became part of a restaurant.
Hurrican Ivan changed the Blow Hole significantly, reducing it to more of a Puff Hole. The tourist stand there use to do a brisk business but is shut down now. The beautiful palms that welcomed you to the town of East End were mostly destroyed at the same time.
This prop is from a wreck and sits at the entrance of the Wreck of the Ten Sails park along with its lead keel. The park was dedicated by the Queen some years ago. There is a nice view but little else there.

Can't see the sun set there on the East End, only sun rising.

That would have to be a sunrise and not a sunset from that location on the East End.

Great picture of East End landmark. I stayed there many times with Danny Jetmore and the gang. A very sad sight now.
