I had lunch at this place when I was working on the new Weigh Station project off the highway. It was excellent. Too bad it closed down.

Enormous picture ! I like it and put it among my favorites. Travelling on Route 66 last year, we had such a storm but did not think about taking a picture ! That would be great to have you among us in our group Historic US Route 66 !

nice colours for soil and sky! interesting picture!

We would like to welcome all of our European visitors, and invite you to our public swimming pool during your stay in Shamrock. It's open from 1pm to 5pm Tuesday-Sunday. The price is just $1 per swimmer. Stay at the cheaper hotels and come swim here. It's more fun!

True. As of this past week (mid-June, 2009), the place is a lot of nasty looking rubble with no redeeming values at all.

Shamrock has truly cannibalized it's local businesses in favor of foreign-owned hotels and motels that can be cannibalized later for transfer into the hands of local control-freaks.

There will be a rodeo there the on the same day. Rodeo will be on the 3rd 4th and 5th in the afternoon.

Stay in Shamrock during your Route 66 trip and play golf for free at the Shamrock, Texas Country club. Shamrock is the un-official Radiator Springs of Route 66 with the U-Drop Inn (this picture) being used as the model for Ramon's Place on the Disney movie "Cars" Google
