Hi Certainly know where the grain silos are as I have been a Southampton cabbie for 30 odd years. The picture was taken at low tide on Weston Shore which is on the east side of our town across the River Itchen almost on the spot that the old fisherman's hut had stood for what seemed forever until the council decided to demolish it!
Time is the one preciuos thing that we can give that is worth any present in a pretty box that costs the earth.A young mum an old person in care a charity walk or just a pair of hands to help.JUST YOUR TIME.
Worth a visit as this is a working and teaching mill and does not get enough advertising.Wonderful place to take the children to see how flour of all sorts was made many years ago ...and still is today.Flour of all types can be purchased.Nice surroundings very peaceful although 2 minutes off M27. Nice way to spend a morning amusing the children. Hands on experience shows how to grind the corn.
