This is something called "ukko" in Finnish, translated in English about "old boy". It's idea is to fix floating bars which guide or navigate floating timber to the right direction. The loose floating was going on at Vaajakoski until late 60's when they changed it to happen as floating in bundles.

Yes, it was quite small infact. I just love venturing in the Kana- and Koskenvuori area, but rarely these days i have the time to just go out and enjoy the nature. Oh yeah, i also want a new camera :)
