You were mistaken my friend. This is not Sabyinyo Volcanoe. This is Muhabura. Sabyinyo is the one with "teeth"! In Kinyarwanda language, Sabyinyo means "the one with big teeth". Sabyinyo is west of this volcanoe you pictured. Between them, there is a smaller one named Gahinga.

This village "umudugudu" has been built by the Belgian Cooperation in 1998.

Muhabura Volcanoe is at the border of Uganda and Rwanda. It is the first on East of a range of nine volcanoes which strech from East to West. The name means the "reference, the guide, the one which finds lost walkers".

This building is today Rwanda Military Academy near Ruhengeri. Before 1994, it was a campus of National University of Rwanda.

More than 50000 tutsi victims of the genocide are buried at this place. This was a secondary school under construction in 1994, where tutsi were grouped before being killed by Interahamwe militia on 20 April 1994.
