Claudio Iacono, nato nel 1963, fotografo semiprofessionista la cui formazione come psicologo e psicoterapeuta si coniuga alla passione per la fotografia che vede al centro l'essere umano in tutte le sue sfaccettature. Dal reportage al ritratto, durante i suoi frequenti viaggi, l'attenzione è sempre verso i volti che incontra e le storie che si possono leggere nella luce degli sguardi.
Alcuni suoi scatti sono stati esposti presso la Galleria Focus a Chiang Mai, in Thailandia, un progetto dal titolo "Faces of Thailand", nell'ambito del Festival della fotografia 2014.
Ha realizzato un progetto di ricerca in psicologia sociale in Repubblica Dominicana utilizzando la tecnica del "Photovoice", lavorando con un gruppo di immigrati clandestini Haitiani in Repubblica Dominicana, per descrivere le condizioni di vita e le problematiche di questa minoranza, cercando in tal modo di "dar voce" a questo sommerso invisibile.
Ha coordinato, nell'ambito del Festival della Fotografia di Roma, la realizzazione di una mostra fotografica realizzata da utenti psichiatrici di un centro diurno della capitale.

Claudio Iacono, born in 1963, a semi-professional photographer whose training as a psychologist and psychotherapist is combined with a passion for photography that sees the human being at the center in all its facets. From reportage to portraits, during his frequent travels, the focus is always to the faces that he meets and to the stories that can be read in the light of the eyes.
Some of his photographs are currently on display at the Focus Gallery in Chiang Mai, Thailand, a project entitled "Faces of Thailand", as part of the Festival of Photography in 2014. He also made a research in social psychology in the Dominican Republic using the technique of "Photovoice", working with a group of illegal Haitian immigrants to describe the social conditions of this minority, trying, in this way, to "give voice" to this invisible submerged.
