14th February 2009 (Valentines Day). I know that the weather 'should' be rain + rain + rain, but it was beautiful that weekend. I walked from here, out to Studland and back, with a pub lunch on the way.

Thanks Andbag. It was more luck than judgement. The sky was quite dark and colourless, what you can't see (post-crop) is the street light that gave the orange tint, upper right. At the time, 30 seconds was the longest exposure I could do, but I now have remote release, so I think I'll try it again with a 10mm lens and a longer exposure. Oh, and a tripod, this was taken with the camera just propped on the bridge handrail ....

This is one of four bronze statues in a square behind the church of Notre Dame. However, there is no indication which is which, ie Pestilence, War, Famine and Death.

drank the wine .... it was pretty potent stuff. Best watered down with some lemonade. It tasted more like port than wine, God knows what the alcohol content was !

Bounced down the Thames on a rib (checkout www.londonribvoyages.co.uk) from 'The Eye' to the barrier, so we were pretty low down in the water when I took this one
