Winter Falls usually dries up in summer. In winter and spring, I think it is the tallest fall in the park. It is not readily visible from the top rim. There is a cut-off trail down into the canyon here.

The topography tells us that sometimes this collection of drips is rapid enough to erode. Most of the time it is just right for some happy plants. Seeping springs and trickling streams are common in Silver Falls Park
