Beth-Yerah or Beit Yerakh or Khirbet Kerak means Temple of the Moon and was built in the 4th millenium B.C. The moon-god which was a pagan symbol was worshipped here and was important to the Canaanite people who were cursed by Noah because his son Ham saw him drunk and naked inside his tent dancing around so Noah cursed the Canaanite's. They were IDOL worshippers. Is this mound where the pagen idol was worshipped???
