Very few people know that this is the actual house Stven Kings lives in. The Mansion next door is a show piece for the famous author. Take a good look at this picture and you can see the dark tinted windows and surveilance camera's all around the house and property. I live less than 5 mile from Steven King and have actually cooked for him.
Sorry, this is not a reference to what goes on inside the building... I have just always thought this looked like it should be located in Havana or Minsk or Belgrade. A striking contrast in our brick city.
The Isaac Farrar Mansion (also known as the Symphony House) was home to the Northern Conservatory of Music which was established in 1929 as a state approved, nonprofit, degree granting college. Although the school closed after graduation in 1972 the last degrees were awarded in 1973 with special arrangements with the University of Maine, Orono. The Conservatory was known for its emphasis on small classroom settings that provided close interest of faculty members in the individual identity of each student. For additional information about the Conservatory, please contact Arnold L. Poland, President, Alumni Association of the 1929-1973 Northern Conservatory of Music (207-564-8496) or arnoldpoland@hotmail.com

I love your photos. You make Bangor look as good as I remember.
This is First Baptist Church, not Free Baptist Church! I live on this side of town.

Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain studied here before moving on to Bowdoin College.
