Kia Ora ! Hello everybody ! My name is Michaël HOEN, I'm born in 1973, I live in northeastern France in Coussey (near Joan of Arc's birthplace), I'm married with Laure, and we decided to travel throughout New Zealand during 4 too short weeks in 2007, between march 12th and april 7th. It was in fact just the beginning of our love story with Aotearoa ... Our most special and precious(ssss) bond with this beautiful country is our daughter Amandine (we came in NZ just the 2 of us, and we were 3 to go back to France !). My only dream : to come back here in a few years, with her !!!

Colour, timing, location, Mark. A few hours earlier you'd be lucky to see the landscape, while a few later you would not get the roundedness of the hillsides. michaelhoen, That is not actually a Y shape the hedges form, but actually a - with a l marching diagagionaly across the hillside. If you look at the location pic on the right side of the main image, you can see the hedges, two of them. But the camer location spot, is not correct - it would be more further up McMillian Rd, rather then Parnassus Rd. Remember the little map is North to the top, while the camera is pointing South Eastwards. Cheers, Peter

Mushroom picking in forests is rather "Slavic" skill, I think... e.g. I did not see much local people picking mushrooms in Norway (and there are a lot of them, even around roads!)
Yes, I like foods with mushrooms!
