This is actually a Norfolk Southern line from the 1880s. The old seaboard line would have been a CSX line that ran threw Hiram but CSX had no use for it (after years of dwindling traffic down this line) in the 1980s when they bought out the Seaboard rail line and the DOT wanted the line to use for what is today the Silver Comet Trail so CSX gave it to them.
Well, we didn't stand on the tuna can, but we jumped up in the air and almost saw all seven states. (Didn't know that (first-rate) joke; it's so true.

Brings back memories from working out west many moons ago. Worked all over the desert southwest for the US Geological Survey. Never been to Kane, Utah, but I did do some work north of there near the Grand Staircase in Escalante National Monument.
