nature and art in this picture, best compliments!

ciao ANTONIO

ho trovato questa foto in GE, bellissimo posto , mi piace .

saluti di Austria Marita

The hill-fort of Pianara of the 6th-4th c. BC. Maybe the legendary city of Amyclae was located here: archaeological research may confirm the precence of people (Greek tribe?) in Pianara many centuries before the known up to now dates.

The site, discovered in 1977, revealed, after excavations, one of the main european deposit of stone tools dated around 40,000-35,000 years ago: from the middle to upper paleolithic. Most important of all was the finding of evidence for cultural change from Homo neanderthalensis to Homo sapiens. This makes the S. Andrea site among the oldest manifestations and presence of our common human ancestor in Europe.

in this site was foud the almost complete skeleton of Hippopotamus tiberinus (maybe a variety of H. antiquus)among sedimentary and volcanic layers. This fossil is kept in the Museum of Paleontology of the University of Rome-1.

this votive sculpture probably belongs to the funeral material taken from the roman necropoli of the area.

bonjour capitainefilip, vous pouvez certainement utiliser mes photos avec le copyright. Je voudrais voir votre site lorsque il sortira. Meilleures voeux de bon travail et salutations.

This is not a proper Pillbox model [as it is hidden in the ground), but in German it is called a Tobrouk [and I don't know why).

complimenti, bellissima foto per i colori e i contrasti. Cordialmente Antonio d'Ayala
