This is a photo of the Johnson Building, formerly the "New Pinellas Hotel", constructed sometime around 1910 to serve railway passengers. The railroad depot, built in 1889 on the other side of the tracks to serve what was then the Orange Belt Railway, was torn down in the 1970's (?). The street in front of the Johnson Building (Railroad Avenue, now 1st Street SW) used to be the eastern edge of Largo.
