Thanks for your kind words, Peter, but you're mistaken about the bottle. I walked to all the places that I've photographed - no hands-on climbing necessary.

Almost certainly a former Government Pipelines & Storage Systems (GPSS) oil pipeline connecting the Butter Hill/Wervin Petrol Storage Depot just south of here to Backford PSDs to the north.
Nice Photo R.I.P. LIKE, FAV.

Nice photo of some splendid stonework. The 2nd Volunteer Battalion Duke of Wellington's West Riding Regiment is a reminder of the volunteering surge of 1859, when Britain felt itself in danger of invasion by France, following an assassination attempt on Napoleon III by Felice Orsini, an Italian nationalist. Orsini allegedly obtained the explosives in England.
Very nice, Peter. This is a lovely spot even though traffic on the A635 is roaring by at 60mph just behind the camera.
On the horizon, left of centre, is the Holme Moss transmitting tower.
The path cutting diagonally across the cloud shadow is the Pennine Way going southwards up to Black Hill.
The pair of stone gateposts, to the right of centre-frame, mark, I believe, the site of an old inn, Bill O'Jacks, where a notorious murder took place in 1832.
