Hi Ian. Mount Perry was actually my "stamping grounds" from 1964, the year i was born, to 1991. The last time i saw this crushing machine, i'm sure it never had any trees or bush around it. And am i right in remembering it was at the bottom of a hill, with long lengths of timbered beams or rails that ran down to the crusher. When i was young i used to venture out and explore the abandon mines, and even back then {i would have only been 8 or 9 yrs old} i used to marvel at all the old machinery, and wondered what they were used for. My parents bought the house between the post office and general store in the early 60's. The house itself, holds a little bit of history. It was once a bakery. Which still had the oven and all the accessories in it when they bought it.
