31 Oct 2009 - Fred and me were her watching the monument in downtown Port au Prince. This place is just right for a good picnic. So for now we say good bye to Haiti. See you later.

....this is Prince Albert Memorial in Hyde Park on the Kensington side...you can see the prince under the roof and looking straight at the Royal Albert Hall on the other side of Kensington Gore. His wife, Queen Victoria, built this memorial and the hall as well in memory of her dear husband whom she missed terribly after his untimely death.

...thanks for the info, louisven, I had guessed it would have been something of that nature... you only have to imagine two hundred years ago and you could almost see men, women, and children in chains passing through this place....such was the inhumanity of man to his fellow man, a means to an end, sadly we have not progressed further on from those dark old days !!
