Beautiful but deadly trestle. My sister fell from it in 1949 (age 12). How many others have committed suicide or taken a dare and walked on it? I hear high school kids still get drunk and dare each other to go out on it at night. Even though part of the ends are disconnected, people still try to walk on it. Some kind of solid, wide barrier needs to be put up at both ends.

It's a shame what the city is doing to downtown. Someone needs to yank the reins from their hands before they ruin every business there! The incredible waste of taxpayer's money on all of these huge, wasteful building projects is going to bankrupt the town. There was nothing wrong w/ the old courthouse that a little money couldn't have fixed. Instead, they are building these huge, expensive and faceless facilities and ruining the wonderful feel of old downtown. Wake up citizens, because when it's gone it's gone and the entire town will look like the corner of Idaho and El Paseo. Congested, strip malls, and hazards to walk around.
