Christmas City was a gas station/bar just below the present-day Murdock diversion dam in Provo Canyon. It was orginally opened in 1939 and burned down in the 50's.

That was exactly my plan! I made it to the top of the mountain where the ants were swarming (they think nothing of flying into your eyes and ears), got sunburnt and ran out of water coming back down. Quite a day. No rattlesnakes at least.
