I worked for the Forestry Commission in the mid 1980's in Wyre Forest, when the Visitor Centre was a mouldy shack in the bottom of a dip! delighted to see it re-developed and this environmentally important site receiving some of the attention it deserves. Also very glad to see the old Douglas Firs at the enterance to the forest walks haven't ended up on the back of a Forwarder, they were seriously talking about this at the time that I left!
This is the water tower from one of the wartime ablutions blocks in the dispersed accomodation sites for RAF Sibson.
If you look at the 1945 overlay you can see all the buildings.
