This is a shot of Ashokan Reservoir from Mt. Slide. This perspective is looking "between" Friday and Cornell mountains.

If you hope to get this view be prepared to go through a lot of thick underbrush.

I had to go off-trail for this shot. It was a short but brutal hike.

In the center of the shot there is a beautiful Golden Eagle. I tried to get a better shot of it but it flew away.

Just another shot of the American Falls (American side)

My cam was being really fussy on this shot. The very bright sunset washed out the landscape almost completely in most of the shots. But I think this gives a good idea of how nice the view is from this location.

I tagged it precisely on the map.

I think this is the fullest view you can get of the Falls from the American side (without going up in an observation tower). To the upper right is part of the Horseshoe Falls and in the foreground is part of the American Falls.

Hi, thanks for the great photo. Is this a good place to go to get a feel of what the "real" desert is? I'm from NYC and I'm looking to see a desert that is accessable by car.

Thanks.

The map is correct - Hwy 16 North of Conway - just walk under the road and down the steps - easy access

This is the small falls just above Glen Ellis Falls in Pinkham Notch on Rt 16 in New Hampshire.

I ventured out on the rocks to get just the right angle for this pic. Enjoy!
