✭ Jim Mills - (formerly "beamish boy") - A philosophical wanderer of mountains and wild, beautiful landscapes for many years. Now I hope others can experience a small taste of those wonderful places, at least visually in these mainly old pre-digital photos. ✭ As well as the outward journeys partially depicted in these photos, there may be detected an inner journey, influenced by these outer journeys. You, my fellow Panoramio friends and visitors, are all part of this greater journey that we all make. ✭ These are more than just photos, they are also a chronological documentation of my travels, where I live, and the passing of the seasons. ✭★ I now have a companion site - Beamish - at this link: http://www.panoramio.com/user/513158 ✭✭✭ PLEASE FEEL FREE TO VISIT MY EARLIER PHOTOS. Yes Hans we were still youngish and fit back then! This is a beautiful place to camp wild, though we were tent-bound for a day in bad weather, so we were grateful as you see in this photo for the cloud to lift so we could get off the mountain! Regards - Jim

Thanks again Hans Regards - Jim

Thanks very much Hans. Best wishes - Jim

Thanks again Valentin. We did a great relatively easy snow gully climb and ridge walk on this mountain. Regards - Jim

A beautiful Alpine scene Valentin. I like your quotes from GASTON REBUFFAT and ANTOINE DE ST EXUPERY, both great Frenchmen who had many adventures "Between Heaven and Earth"! Best wishes - Jim

Thanks Valentin, nice to hear from someone actually from Dauphine. This was indeed a pleasant wild camp, our last after many a night camped amongst the peaks, passes and valleys of the Dauphine Alps. That holiday was my last Alpine adventure and would have probably have been the highest I ever camped with mixed weather of stormy clouds and clear starlit nights, even the passes were a bit too high and numerous when carrying far too heavy loads for such terrain! Nevertheless a very memorable holiday and a turning point in my life. Greetings from the wild far south west of Ireland. Best wishes - Jim
