Across the river is Notts Island: If anyone finds a pair of black framed (kinda Buddy Holly style) glasses in the sand over there. . . THEY'RE MINE!! Lost 'em in 1964 and spent a whole day sifting through the sand before I had the B***S to go home and tell Mom I had lost yet another pair of specs. Bob Roche (616) 776-0842

I rember back before Goodspeed was restored in the late '60's. . . . us kids used to go up there by boat from Essex and do stuff (that was possibly illegal) inside the building. . . .all I can say in my (our) defence is that we all had enough of a sense of history so as not to do any permant damage. . . .we wern't vandals.
