We are truly lucky to live in such a wonderful world. I hope that my photography may serve as a reminder of all the beauty that we see every day and invoke a sense of stewardship and a desire to keep the world a wonderful place. Each person on the earth contributes to change, and as these daily contributions add up, they can have a positive, negative or neutral effect. I hope that these photos inspire people to adopt daily behaviors that result in either positive change or neutrality on a global scale.

After the first petition with 10.500 signatures, in June 2015 Google declared that "Panoramio will stay alive". Now just one year after that statement, they decided to close Panoramio forever. Step by step they destroyed their own platform !!! Google – Earth, User’s Statistics last year suffered a nervous breakdown ! Any sense of credibility and justice is totally lost, together with our work !!!!!!!!! In a normal & democratic world, this isn’t fare comportment.

We can still fight for the preservation of this platform! The address for your protest: Alphabet Inc. Attn Corporate Secretary 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043 Email:

There is also our Latest Petition in, but recent history is proving, that only with petitions we can't do anything, if Google doesn't want to hear our voices & respect the hours we spent to create its empire.

In any case, there is a God, who is seeing all this injustice !

Hi Derek, This whole issue has been a major disappointment for me; probably my own fault for spending too much time enjoying every aspect of what made Panoramio so appealing to people like us. I can't help but feel a major resentment toward Google for their lack of respect and disregard of Panoramio's contributions to their viewers, and of course, their deep pockets. I certainly don't mind sharing my photos with the world, but I believe Google has lost all interest in retaining quality photographs. The only positive point I can see in leaving photos here is them being viewable in GE.

If you are still considering a different photo sharing site, it seems that a lot of the serious and/or professional photographers on this site have already joined Ipernity and consider it to be the best alternative; several others have joined 500px. I will most likely check out these two options in hopes of staying in touch with some mighty fine people (like you) that I've had the privilege to get to know here on Panoramio.

You will always hold a special place in my heart.....

Muito bom! e Gosto.

Very nice photo.

Greetings to all Panoramio friends.

… and goodbye.
