This is the first church I can remember attending. I am English, Romany and a Scotch/Irish-German-Creek American (the Creek are a Native American 'tribe' originally living in South Carolina and Georgia. Thanks to the USAF, the Berlin Airlift and perhaps poor judgment on my mother's part, I came into being. My American was stationed RAF Croughton. We lived in King's Sutton in the early 60s. I attended the Primary School and this church. My strongest memory of the church is that on an icy winter's morning it seemed the coldest place in the village and the world, that it may have been during the 1963 blizzard!
I can't tell you how long I stood there waiting for that bloomin' bus to move! They're attached like circus elephants and have no intention of leaving an unattended bus-stop.
