I am a free lance photographer who uses 35 mm, digital and film, and large format film formats to express my vision. I have been published and have participated in local photographic art displays. I enjoy the craft and the vision allowed by photographic media.

...An old loco engine, I'd reckon.

Would cost more to pick up and cart to a recycler that the scrap cast iron value, I think.

Lord knows how long it has been sitting there, but it will not rust away in less than a few hundred years!

I like the photographic composition you have in this shot smivic.

Getting the colour correct, without over exposure is darned hard sometimes, I know. Note, too, the time of exposure, just after 9am... Would have expected more shadows at that time of the morning, but lucky for you, it is more of a ‘dull’ day, weather wise.

It actually looks like an sepia tone image, but suspect that it is simply the land colours at that location - like some of the spots here in NZ or over in Oz where I lived for 18 years.

Worked with medium format 645 years ago, mostly wedding/portrait work, but did cart camera/tripod to so many places over the nearly 10 years or so.

Cheers from Christchurch
