Pomena does not have, really, a port. The fact is that to berth is pleasant and thus makes it some: ones beside the others. And considered that Pomena has less inhabitants than they, we can say that Pomena, more than to have a port, it is.
This source is a point of reference, marked on the maps also from the C.A.I for guideline of the trekking, a lot practiced in zone. The cliff from which it gushes out had partial landslides quickly and of it threatened others on equipped area of pauses where the children of the near school passes the summery mornings. The consolidation of the cliff has concurred the reorganization of the stratum and the restoration of the source, now not more only point of reference, but also of refreshment. I'm proud to have contributed to the realization of this.
Negli anni 1954-55 56 unavolta al mese partivamo da ponza per andare a napoli per fare spese con la mamma ed avevo 4-5-e6- anni e ci capitava spesso di viaggiare col traghetto insieme a detenuti diretti all'isola di s. stefano al penitenziario per scontare le loro condanne ed ora che ho quasi 60 anni è sempre vivo in me il ricordo di quei volti tristi e cupi dei carcerati incatenati mani e piedi per un bambino come me vedere quelle scene era una violenza che non sono mai riuscito a dimenticare saluti et auguri di buone feste e felice anno nuovo a voi tutti del blog . carruba3@yahoo.it
The "big parata" denomination drift from the fact that the migratory birds pass like "in parade" along this piece of coast, where the hunting has greater possibilities of success.
The helisurface has octagonal shape like the logo of the Regione Lazio that of it has cured the realization through its "Structure for the environment of the province of Latina" of which I have been the manager just during the planning and the realization of this work, destined mainly to the sanitary aid and the civil protection.
The erosion caused from the wind and the sea renders the access to this fantastic beach more and more dangerous.
If it were proceeded to the stabilization of the wall, the show would lose its natural beauty, but, some time, the summery opening to the access (that happens through a gallery dug in the cliff from the ancient romans) is a bet on the life of the tourists, the bet comes lost and someone comes killed from the pieces landslide from the wall that is not full of rocks but is composite.
