very accurate description. i might add that cell phone reception is pretty poor. First timers should never consider to do it alone. Look back at the trail when you reach the river. Local guides are pretty used to but annoyed of being asked to go down at night to rescue someone who could not find his way back up.

Home of my Grandparents. I love this town. I had the oppurtunity to live in Barranquitas for four, very important years of my life. I learned how to speak, write and read in Spanish. Not to mention, working like my Ancestors did. Hard, but honorable.
