Ciao Pietgazz; Gli imagine di Fonni in Sardegna mi piacono piu de quelle nel' Orgoloso - they are more in tune with nature and less with present politics.
Six back to backs have been preserved since the last owner passed his tailor's shop on Hurst street to the National trust in 2001. All others in the city had been swept away by slum clearance in the 19060's thru 1980's. Amazing ordinary artefacts from periods 1841 -1940's make this as important a site as the last Gorbals tenements in Glasgow. Only small groups can fit in to each property go soon before evrybody else gets in the queue!!!
This scene of the devastation caused by the yr 2000 fires that swept across south eastern Samos. The stark beauty of this study in red and black reminds us how fragile is the green landscape we now see less than a decade later.
8 30 am August 23 1990; after a stiff hike from Pre de Madame the mists rose and, from near the Refuge d'Ecrins at about 2917 metres. this view opened up. Now - nearly 20 years later, is there still a Glacier Blanc?
The mountain road from Bosa to Alghero takes you through little frquented villages and through some rugged terrain, where griffon vultures fly. The murals of Montresta illustrate the wildlife and flora of the area and enliven the roadside gable ends all the way through the little town
ould have been improved by either missing out the people (you could clone out the one in purple and greatly improve shot) but just raising focal point to take in the top of lamp standard BUT the picture intrigues me as I am actually scanning GOOGLE to find what seems to be a useful car park round the corner. I visit Oxford July 22 2009 and will up-date several of the nearby places.

This mural of Griffon Vulture is located almost the geometric centre of the town.
