The building at the end of the Vrijheidslaan (former Stalinlaan) is known jokingly as the Skyscraper (de Wolkenkrabber) Because when it was build in the 1930s if was the tallest Appartment Building in Amsterdam.

This is a former Railway Crossing Gateskeeper House...Since the railway is since long gone, it has become a private home. However to remember the past use of this house, the present owner has kept the Crossing Identification number paited on his house.
