I'm very happily retired and am lucky to live near the Thames and some big royal parks, which all gives plenty of photo inspiration. I'm finding photography has become my main hobby/passion - but it's very frustrating; I can never seem to reproduce the photo I have in my brain! But I'll keep trying. Panoramio is one of my happiest discoveries; such brilliant photos by supposed 'amateurs'! Au Revoir, _Brian_.

Many thanks folks, I wish I had more to share, but anyway it's good to be here.

Hey Jock, this stretch of coast in the state of Rio de Janeiro is the only place in Brazil where beaches runs nearly east to west and face the south, so between late spring and early summer you can see both the sunrise and the sunset at sea in some of the beaches, but the sun never "touches" the sea during most of the year. There are also some weird water temperature flutuations brought by upwelling, the sea can be be very warm one week and quite cold the next one, especially in summers. During the winter the water temperature is more stable, and never gets cold.

Oh yes, there is allways rush-hour.

Greetings, Hans
