We have visited Cedar Key regularly over the years. It is a really nice place to relax and unwind. We just found it on the map and we keep on going back.

The 2 larger fossil fuel(coal & diesel fuel) plants use Gulf water and cool it in the tall towers. The small nuke plant and the two smaller fossil fuel plants are cooled using water from the Gulf that comes in the south canal and goes back out the north canal The volumn of water causes the "in vs out" temp to be close together.

I'm really pleased to learn that many islands are still like...1000 years ago ;) You should try also the Marine Park of the Northern Aegean (Alonissos and its archipelago)
