Hello Aluisio! A magnificent macro of this big, beautiful moth! It does look very much like the female moth of the Black Witch (Ascalapha odorada)?? I have not seen a female of this species, but I am astounded about the story regarding this insect here in Texas and Louisiana. Some scientists seem to suspect that huge numbers of them may occasionally be swept up by tropical storms and may travel in the eye of a hurricane to arrive here. Many friendly greetings!
