Great picture, I never saw it from this side. My photo was taken 1969.
Entrance to the Ndzou camp. The Ndzou camp is a wonderfull eco-tourist lodge owned and runned by the local community. It is set in the rainforest, and from where local people can guide you for hikes in the forest.
This is the Bundi River Plain, looking south east towards the peak of Turret Towers in the background (on the Mozambique border).
@ Jaco - no there are not ancient mines. There have been, and still are ancient mines at lower altitude but on the highlands it all started in 2005/2006. For more information see our paper in Resources Policy, 34(1–2): 2009, 45-50.
Nice and interesting picture. Could you say in which year this picture would have been taken? Would be interesting to compare with current situation. Thanks, SD
Paisagem muito bonita, eu gosto!
Gosto de usar a vista panoramica do google earth
No there is no pont anymore - there is now a very good, modern bridge (where I took the pic) and it's a bit upstream from where the pont used to be.
This picture was taken in Dec 2006.
It's interesting to compare it with http://www.zimbabweflora.co.zw/speciesdata/location-image.php?locationid=33&imageid=8 from 1957
Nunca fui, mas gostava muito de conhecer! Abraços, RN Latvian31!
