Spelling should be Maubisse. Google Earth shows two incorrect variants - Maobisse and Maubissi.

I agree, this is a picture of Maubisse Catholic Church, not of Aileu, although Maubisse is reasonably near Aileu. The church offers, as well as being a place of worship, simple accommodation. The assistant parish priest, Fr Miguel, speaks good English, although he says it is his 4th language after Tetum, Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese. I stayed the night of 11 September 2008 and attended a beautiful and moving dawn mass on 12 September. Fr Miguel and the people were most welcoming and hospitable.
