I like to be in the nature, e.g. kayak, long-distance skating, winter skiing and traveling. I am also a volunteer tour guide within an outdoor organization. I like ice, glaciers and volcanos and thus destinations as Iceland, Greenland and Antarctica. And animals. My wife is a biologist, sharing the same interests. I have the camera on most trips, mainly for documenting. I have found Panoramio to share some photos, also for Google Earth, and exchanging experiences. We also have a private web site http://www.matsocamilla.se.

Yes they know what they are doing. And polar bears are not good at hunting in the water, they strike their seals (or human beings) on the ice. (There have been some accidents the last years with people having tent camps). Hopefully the Zodiak engine will also start. Greetings, Mats.

Thank you Gabi for your kind comments. Greetings from Sweden, Mats.

Yes Gudrun, but he is very kind and curious. Greetings, Mats.

Thank you Gudrun. When a whale is in sight you leave what you are doing (e.g. having dinner) and go to the deck. This one turned up at the last moment, when we were heading back to Longyearbyen. Else we had seen a lot one night at the southern point of Svalard. Greetings, Mats.

Thank you Gudrun. Due to the form of the glacier, there are many waterfalls at the edge. Nice to see and hear. Greetings, Mats.

Thank you Gudrun for all your comments on the photos, and I am glad you liked them. Good luck on your coming trip :-). Greetings, Mats.

Thank you Gudrun. It was nice to see the polar bear just before midnight, and it was an Arctic feeling with all ice. Greetings, Mats
