I certainly recognise the 2 boats in the foreground. They are both pleasure boats that offer disco cruise etc up and down the river Trent.

Please note correct spelling is Clipstone. There was a village called Clipstone in North Nottinghamshire at the time of the Domesday Book. A new village (called "New Clipstone" to give its full name) when the pit opened in the 1920s. The older part of the village was recently renamed Kings Clipstone (from "Old Clipstone") - in some sort of recognition of Clipstone's other claim to fame as the home for a hunting lodge used by King John in the 13th century. The remnants of the lodge could be seen until vandals stole the remaining stones.

There's a cracking good pub in Cromford called 'The Boat inn' just up a narrow lane. I've a had a few good nights in there watching and listening to some good bands and drinking good real ale.
